Michael Harrison’s West End musicals include The Bodyguard at the Adelphi and Dominion Theatres, Gypsy at the Savoy, Mrs Henderson Presents at the Noel Coward, Annie at the Piccadilly and Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein at the Garrick Theatre.

He is managing director of Qdos Entertainment and has created over 100 pantomimes for the company. He also created Cinderella, Dick Whittington and Snow White at the iconic London Palladium. In 2018 Dick Whittington won a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Entertainment and Family.

Gypsy won four Laurence Olivier Awards including Best Musical Revival and was filmed for transmission on television both in the UK and the USA.

The Bodyguard is a worldwide global hit, having played in Canada, Australia, Holland, Germany, Italy, South Korea, USA ,China , France , South Africa, Vienna and Spain. The first UK tour was a huge success, with the second touring throughout 2019.

With Cameron Mackintosh he produced the Chichester Festival Theatre production of Barnum.

With David Ian, he produced the national tour of Sunset Boulevard and is currently producing the first national tour of Benidorm Live.

His other musicals include tours of Aspects of Love, The Witches of Eastwick, Chess, I Dreamed A Dream, Jolson and Co, Annie, Funny Girl and Beautiful.

In 2019 Michael will co-produce the transfer of the Menier Chocolate Factory’s production Fiddler on the Roof at The Playhouse Theatre, London.

Following this Michael will produce a brand new production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium.

In 2012 he was awarded a companionship to the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts by Sir Paul McCartney, and in 2017 the Freedom of the City, Newcastle upon Tyne, in recognition of his services to theatre in the region.
